Boyne Highlands
I am lucky to have a dad who works at Boyne. It is a really cool place. Every morning we go to the breakfast buffet there. Afterwords, we shoot hoops at the court. In the near future, I will post more photos of the Highlands on my blog. In a couple weeks, I get to go and learn how to snowboard. I will probably be terrible at it, but it's worth a shot to at least try.
Trowbridge
These photos were taken next to the Ice Skating Rink in my hometown. There is this little cabin next to it after you cross the bridge. I never see anyone over there often. Almost every year it floods because of the river next to it. I haven't seen anyone take care of the problem. I'm sure there's a way.
I really liked how the branches on the tree looks. They almost looked burgundy in the light.

Thanksgiving Day 2014
Thanksgiving Day of 2014, Wolverine received it's first big snowfall of the year. My favorite part about winter is how the snow looks on the trees. Behind my house, there are many pine trees, there are a few in front as well.
This is a photo of my four wheeler trail behind my house. I spend most of my summer days out here taking photos, listening to music, practice singing, reading, etc. I really enjoy the peace and quiet in the woods. It's honestly my favorite place to be, besides Comerica Park of course.
Hundreds of sumac plants grow behind my house. Luckily I captured a picture of one that wasn't dead yet.
The photo of the sunset is definitely one of my favorite photos I've taken. I really liked hows the show and clouds glowed.

Cool Summer Day
Days like this during summer are my favorite. The sun is shining bright but it's not too hot or cold. It's perfect high 70's degree weather. It rained the day before so it was a little humid out, but not too bad. I thought my cousin Jacob's homemade tire swing looked really neat and the lighting was great for a picture.
The tree bark was still wet from the rain shower. The fungus growing on the trees are so pretty. When I was little, the mushrooms always reminded of miniature drums.
This is Jacob's dog Nash. He almost had to be put down last summer. He got really sick and was is great shape 2 days later. He is a really protective, fun, dog.

Mackinaw Island Volleyball Tournament 2015
These aren't my best shots, but I still wanted to share. My volleyball team went to Mackinaw Island for a tournament, along with many other local schools.
The first photo is a photo of the sun while we were on the boat to the island. I didn't take many pictures because I was scared to drop my phone in the water. It was also freezing cold outside.
The second photo is of the hotel we stayed in, called Windermere Hotel.

Where would we be without art?
This is a couple pieces of my most recent artwork I created in my art class. Of course the first photo was just a paint pallet I took, but I didn't paint either of the pictures below.
The last photo (Lion), was a chalk pastel project. Our teacher let us pick what we wanted to do as long as we used chalk pastels. I had a hard time thinking of what I was going to do for my project. I wanted to do something that I wouldn't normally do. The Lion wasn't supposed to look sad, but he does. Maybe I was sad the day I finished his mouth.
I finished my project early, so my art teacher let me create another chalk pastel project. I decided to do something else that I wouldn't normally do and what I thought that would be somewhat of a challenge that I could finish in 2 days. I was and still am very proud of the 2 projects. I am happy that I went out of my comfort zone and thought outside of the box for once. I plan on doing that with every one of my projects from now on. Usually the turn out is much better.

Mackinaw- I-75
This photo was taken in, I believe May of 2015 after a softball game. The sunset was so beautiful after every game. I can't wait until this upcoming season because I actually get to play.
Late Night Reading
This photo really sums up my entire life. During almost all of my free time, I enjoy reading. I love to escape the stress of my own world for a while everyday and explore someone else's. Even though most of the books I read are fiction, I pretend they are real life situations. In this photo, I am reading "To Kill A Mockingbird", by Harper Lee. If we weren't forced to read this book, I probably wouldn't have ever picked it up. I am so glad I was made to read it because it's so good. My bedroom is basically a library currently. I have so many books to read, school and sports take up a lot of my time, though.

4th of July 2015- Silver Lake
Last 4th of July was incredibly amazing. I am blessed to live walking distance away from such a pretty lake with great people who occasionally come to visit. For being a small town with not a lot of money, Silver Lake in Wolverine put on the best firework show. I've been to a couple city shows and I wasn't impressed. At the lake, we're right under the explosions and surrounded by so many friends. People who live on the lake have competitions to see who does the best fireworks, which makes the 4th even more exciting. I was unable to get the best shots of the fireworks since I was so concentrated on watching every single one and not missing a thing. The blue fireworks were always my favorite!
Before the firework show, a friend of ours took us on a little ride in his boat to mingle with the other lake friends. The sunset was gorgeous that night. I'm really looking forward to 4th of July 2016!

Visiting My Home
Around the time I took these photos, I was moving out of a home that I've lived in for the first 14 years of my life. I was happy that we were getting a new and improved home, but it was still hard saying goodbye. It was very different not being able to run in my yard everyday for 3-4 months like normal. I occasionally was able to visit and see the action going on with the crew working. I took pictures every time I went home because I missed it a lot. Luckily, at the cabin I stayed at during that time, there were many new things to capture photos of . We were lucky enough to have great friends who let us stay somewhere comfortable and fun for free. The thing I missed the most about home was around my birthday when the lilacs bloomed on our bushes. They didn't stay too long since the summer sun fried them.

Comerica Park- May 2015
Opening |
Comerica Park is one of my favorite places of all time. I've loved the Detroit Tigers for about 4 or 5 years now, I am a huge baseball fan. There are so many things to do while at Comerica. There are rides, food, shops, and many more activities. When I was last there in May, we had to leave early due to a crash in downtown Detroit and the traffic was worse than normal. Right when we got into the vehicle, we turned the radio on to listen to the Tigers. Not even two minutes later, my favorite baseball player, Miguel Cabrera, hit a home run. I was happy of his accomplishment, but disappointed that I wasn't able to see it. Hopefully this year, he will be able to do it again and I will get to witness it.

Wildwood Lake- March 20th, 2015
During this time, the lake was halfway frozen. It was the first day of Spring. It was a good time to get out and get some fresh air. I was sick that weekend and had a fever that night of a 102. That didn't stop my cousin and I from family bonding. It was his birthday and I didn't want to break my promise of spending time with him. Hopefully this year, I can actually have cake with everyone instead of sleeping on the couch.
I had my cousin Jake throw a rock into the water so I could take a photo of the splash. This was the best photo that turned out.
On the other side of the road, there is a swamp. That's where the water is. I've never tried fishing on this side of the lake. I couldn't imagine much luck.
This is a photo of the sand on the edge of the lake. It wasn't quite brown nor white. We played with it for a while and of course I had to take a picture. I was very thankful for my best friend helping me out that day and giving me ideas of what to take photos of .
Hopefully March 20th of 2016 there won't be any snow! ;)

Cecropia Moth Caterpillar
This caterpillar was found on a picnic table under my grandpa's apple tree. It is one of the large silkworm moths in the Saturniidae family. The moths do not feed. They survive on energy gained as a caterpillar.
Summer Moments By The River
This picture was taken at the Sturgeon River a year or two ago. If you take a glance at the trees, it looks a lot like fall, but that's what the original colors are.
I spent an hour every time I was at the cabin swinging on this swing just thinking. I felt like a bird flying through the hair letting the wind blow my hair. What is a bird's life like? What are they thinking as they look down at us? What is it like to fly?

After A Winter Shower
Thursday, February 11, 2016
Fall is my favorite season to captured pictures of. The leaves are always so beautiful, especially after it rains. Some of the leaves in these photos are not turned yet. This was fall of 2014. These photos bring back so many childhood memories of spending weekends raking up leaves to just destroy the piles by jumping in them. I feel like I'm in a completely different world when surrounded by all of the beautiful colors and nature that God created.
